Gwarra (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit gwarra.com or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you shop with us or get in touch, we collect information you give us directly: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number, and order details. We do not store your full card details — payments are handled by our payment provider (see “How we share information”).
We also collect limited technical information automatically when you browse the site, such as your device type, browser, and pages viewed, to keep the store working and to understand what our customers are interested in.
We use your information to process and deliver your orders, to communicate with you about those orders, to handle returns and support requests, and to keep our website secure and running well.
With your consent, we may also send you occasional updates about new drops, restocks and offers. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing support@gwarra.com.
We share your information only with the service providers we need to run the store: our payment processor to take payment securely, and our courier and fulfilment partners to deliver your order. These providers may only use your information to perform their service for us.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect our rights, customers, or the security of our services.
We use a small number of cookies to remember your cart, keep you signed in where relevant, and measure how the site is used. The cookies needed to run the store are essential and always active. On your first visit we ask whether you also consent to non-essential cookies (such as analytics); you can choose “Essential only” to decline them. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the store may not work properly without them.
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, and misuse. While no online service can be guaranteed completely secure, we work to keep your data protected and to limit who can access it.
We keep your personal information only for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described here — including meeting accounting, tax and other legal obligations — after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
Under POPIA you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to certain uses of it, such as marketing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@gwarra.com and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above, and significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
